Humpback Whale Adventure

Come and join us for a breathtaking journey where we cross paths and get the chance to swim with the giants of the sea on their annual migration! Learn about their behaviour, communication, ecology, social structures and their vital role in the delicate balance of the Ningaloo reefs ecosystem as you embark on a day you will never forget.

Humpback whales are seasonal visitors to the Ningaloo Reef who enjoy basking in the warm waters.  Watch in awe as they breach the water, slap their tail and pectoral fins and see how they teach these behaviours to their young.

You have the option to join us for just Whale Watching or Whale Watching and Snorkelling the outer reef or adding a swim with the Humpbacks when the opportunity arises.

With the assistance of a spotter plane, after a period of whale watching, if the humpbacks fit certain criteria we will endeavour to swim with these awe inspiring mammals.

This is a truly life changing interaction which will leave you breathless. Interactions range from a brief swim by one or many adults to the rare but incredibly moving interaction with an inquisitive individual where they circle back to observe us. Eye to eye with one of mother nature’s finest creatures.

Humpback whale swims are highly regulated for your safety and enjoyment and to protect the animals as they migrate. As such whilst we aim to give you an in water interaction on every tour, this may not happen and remains opportunistic, and on the whales terms. We will not force an interaction and will switch to whale watching from the vessel if deemed the best option.
